This role focuses on supporting, maintaining, and improving automation and control systems used in operational environments. The position involves working with hardware, software, and networks to ensure equipment runs reliably, while also helping design and implement future enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for technical support on control systems to keep operations running smoothly.
- Provide troubleshooting across PLCs, control hardware, networks, and automation software.
- Deliver training to operational teams on new systems or updates.
- Lead and support projects involving automation upgrades, commissioning, and integration work.
- Work with third‑party integrators and technology vendors as needed.
- Stay up to date on industry standards, hardware, software, and automation trends.
- Travel occasionally for site work, support, or technology deployments.
- Participate in on‑call support to resolve urgent controls‑related issues.
Experience & Skills Sought:
- Around 3-5 years of experience in automation, controls, or electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical/controls schematics and network diagrams.
- Strong understanding of control logic, PLC programming, and industrial networking.
- Comfortable managing multiple technical projects at once.
- Clear communication skills, especially when explaining complex technical topics.
- Strong problem‑solving abilities and an operations-focused mindset.
- Valid driver's licence and ability to pass standard background/safety checks.
