Location: Nashville, TN (Hybrid / Field-Based)
Travel: Local project travel throughout Middle Tennessee

Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Building Automation Systems Technician to support the installation, startup, commissioning, and service of BAS projects throughout the Nashville area. This role is ideal for a technician with experience in HVAC controls who enjoys troubleshooting systems in the field and working directly with customers.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with BAS platforms such as Tridium Niagara, performing controller checkout, point-to-point testing, programming modifications, and diagnosing system issues. You will work closely with Project Managers, Programmers, and Engineers to deliver high-quality automation solutions across commercial and industrial facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, startup, troubleshoot, and commission Building Automation Systems.
- Perform controller checkout and point-to-point verification.
- Assist with BAS programming uploads, controller configuration, and system modifications.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to controllers, sensors, actuators, and field devices.
- Support commissioning activities and functional performance testing.
- Complete service calls and preventative maintenance visits.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.
- Verify proper operation ofHVAC equipment including:
- Air Handling Units (AHUs)
- VAV Systems
- Chillers
- Boilers
- Cooling Towers
- Pumps
- Exhaust and Ventilation Systems
- Configure and troubleshoot BACnet and network communications.
- Document field changes and report project updates to management.
- Provide customer training and support during project turnover.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in Building Automation, HVAC Controls, Mechanical Systems, or related field.
- Experience performing BAS startup, troubleshooting, or commissioning activities.
- Understanding of HVAC equipment and control sequences.
- Ability to use multimeters and basic electrical testing equipment.
- Experience reading wiring diagrams and control drawings.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license with ability to travel to customer sites.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Tridium Niagara N4.
- Experience working with:

- Siemens Desigo
- Automated Logic
- BAS programming experience or a desire to develop programming skills.
- Niagara or manufacturer certifications.
- Background in HVAC service, controls installation, or controls commissioning.
