A respected multi-discipline engineering firm with over 100 years in business is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a high-impact role focused on designing complex electrical building systems and mentoring a talented team of engineers. You'll work on cutting-edge projects that shape the future of sustainable, intelligent design-ranging from research labs and healthcare systems to higher education and Fortune 500 facilities.
What You'll Do:
Design complex electrical systems for a variety of building types
Serve as a client-facing technical expert, solving design challenges in real time
Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers in both technical and soft skills
Oversee the preparation of 2D and 3D construction documents
Manage LEED documentation, calculations, and energy modeling
Collaborate with in-house disciplines, architects, and building owners
Plan project production and manage multi-discipline engineering teams
Perform site visits, submittal reviews, and contractor coordination
What They're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
5+ years of experience in electrical consulting
Strong understanding of electrical systems and building codes
Experience designing large, complex systems for healthcare, higher ed, labs, and commercial buildings
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to manage projects and mentor junior staff
