A leading national MEP/mission‑critical engineering firm is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (PE) to join its expanding data center and hyperscale design practice. This fully remote role offers the opportunity to work on some of the most complex, high‑density, AI‑driven data center projects in the country-while enjoying a collaborative, low‑politics culture and long‑term organizational stability.

About the Opportunity
This position is ideal for an experienced electrical engineer looking to take a senior technical role in the rapidly growing hyperscale data center sector. You will lead electrical systems design from concept through construction, collaborating with mechanical and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑performance, highly reliable mission‑critical infrastructure.
The organization is experiencing surging data center demand, turning down projects due to volume, and positioning this hire as a key technical leader during a period of significant growth.
What You'll Do
- Lead electrical engineering on hyperscale data center projects (20MW-200MW+)
- Develop MV/LV distribution systems, UPS, generators, grounding, fault protection, and redundancy architectures (N, N+1, 2N)
- Perform short‑circuit, arc flash, load flow, and coordination studies
- Coordinate with utilities and develop power strategies for high‑density compute and AI clusters
- Integrate electrical systems with advanced cooling solutions (liquid cooling, heat recovery, etc.)
- Provide technical leadership across distributed teams; mentor junior engineers
- Stamp drawings and ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and jurisdictional codes
- Serve as a senior technical resource for internal teams and client stakeholders
What We're Looking For
- Professional Engineer (PE) required
- 10+ years of electrical engineering experience
- Strong background in data centers or mission‑critical electrical systems
- Proven experience with medium‑voltage distribution, UPS systems, and high‑density compute loads
- Proficiency with Revit, SKM, ETAP, or similar tools
- Excellent communication skills and a track record of reliability
- Someone who thrives in a flat, collaborative, low‑politics environment
