About the Role
My client is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with a strong background in MEP consulting to join their Atlanta office. This role involves leading electrical design efforts for commercial, institutional, and mixed-use projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems
- Coordinate with mechanical and plumbing teams to ensure integrated MEP solutions
- Prepare construction documents and specifications using Revit and AutoCAD
- Conduct site visits and field inspections to verify installation and resolve issues
- Interface with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure project goals are met
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently
- Support proposal development and participate in client presentations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 6 years of experience in electrical design within an MEP consulting environment
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is required
- Strong understanding of NEC, local codes, and industry standards
- PE license preferred or ability to obtain within 12 months
- Excellent communication and project management skills
