Senior Engineer - Water/Wastewater

My client is seeking an experienced Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer to join their team. This position will play a key role in performing and overseeing technical designs, developing projects from conceptual to final design, preparing contract plans and documents, mentoring staff, and participating in business development, project pursuit, and client management activities.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform, manage, and oversee engineering design on water, wastewater, and stormwater projects
  • Serve as technical design lead on multiple concurrent projects
  • Conduct detailed engineering design, and review and prepare contract documents
  • Provide responsive client service through strong and timely communication
  • Mentor junior staff to enhance their technical knowledge and support their career development
  • Attend and present at client and public meetings
  • Support business development efforts and manage project pursuits
  • Collaborate with internal teams across multiple disciplines and office locations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
  • 8 to 15 years of relevant experience in water, wastewater, and stormwater engineering
  • Strong background in environmental engineering and modeling
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and GIS software

  • Preferred location is at the company's office in Hartford CT, with flexibility to work from other office locations
