Senior Operations Manager - Site Development

My cleint is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to lead and optimize our site development and civil construction operations across the Raleigh region within the enviornmental engineering field. This role is pivotal in driving strategic execution, operational excellence, and team leadership across a diverse portfolio of commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership
Develop and implement operational strategies for site work projects including grading, excavation, utilities, stormwater, and roadwork.
Ensure safety, profitability, and efficiency across multiple active jobsites.
Lead preconstruction planning, including estimating, bid strategy, and contract execution.
Project Execution & Oversight
Oversee project schedules, budgets, change orders, and resource allocation.
Supervise project managers, superintendents, and field teams to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.
Maintain rigorous standards for safety and compliance with OSHA and internal protocols.
Financial Management
Manage divisional budgets, forecasts, and P&L performance.
Approve procurement strategies and major capital expenditures.
Support business development efforts by nurturing client relationships and identifying new opportunities.
Team Development
Recruit, mentor, and retain top-tier construction professionals.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture across operations teams.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
10+ years of progressive experience in civil/site construction within the environmental industry, with at least 3 years in a senior operational role.
Proven track record managing large-scale site development projects.
Expertise in earthwork, underground utilities, erosion control, and paving.
Strong leadership, communication, and business acumen.
