Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our dynamic team in St. Louis. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who is ready to take on a leadership position and serve as a critical bridge between technical teams and upper management. You will play a key role in project execution, client engagement, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to strategic growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead geotechnical investigations, analysis, and design for diverse projects
- Oversee field exploration programs and laboratory testing
- Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and project documentation
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and regulatory agencies
- Mentor junior engineers and support professional development within the team
- Assist in business development and client relationship management
- Contribute to operational strategy and coordination with senior leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Minimum of 8 years of geotechnical engineering experience
- Strong technical background in soil mechanics, foundation design, and ground improvement
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Experience with both public and private sector projects preferred
- Familiarity with regional geology and construction practices in the Midwest is a plus
