What You'll Bring:
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years in consulting engineering
- PE license (or scheduled to take the exam within 6 months)
- Proven experience managing large-scale subsurface investigations and geotechnical design
- Leadership experience managing 3-5 technical staff
- Strong client relationship and business development skills
- Valid U.S. driver's license and reliable transportation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and geotechnical software (e.g., gINT, GeoStudio, LPILE, ALLPILE, DeepEx, PLAXIS)
- Willingness to travel for fieldwork, sometimes for extended periods
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Nice-to-Haves:
- Master's degree or advanced training in geotechnical engineering
- NCEES Records and multi-state licensure capability
- Experience with geophysical testing (MASW, ERI)
- Familiarity with the energy sector (oil & gas, wind energy)
- Knowledge of trenchless technologies (HDD, microtunneling, jack-and-bore)
- Active involvement in professional or community organizations

- Lead and mentor a team of high-performing engineers and technical staff
- Oversee geotechnical investigations, construction observation, and technical analysis
- Review and prepare engineering reports, drawings, and specifications
- Conduct and review foundation design, slope stability, ground improvement, and more
- Interface with clients, agencies, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions
