Senior Instrumentation and Controls Engineer
Position Overview
We're seeking an experienced engineer to lead the design and integration of advanced building automation and control systems. This role involves developing system strategies, specifying components, and overseeing implementation and commissioning activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation in control systems and networking, combined with leadership skills to guide project teams and ensure successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and mentorship to engineering and design teams.
- Develop control strategies and operational sequences for complex systems.
- Specify sensors, controllers, valves, and related components.
- Design network architecture for control systems, including hardware and security elements.
- Prepare diagrams and documentation for system layouts and configurations.
- Review technical submittals and respond to design-related inquiries.
- Conduct site visits for construction observation and commissioning support.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure compliance and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required or FE planning to be a PE.
- Strong understanding of building systems and interdisciplinary coordination.
- Ability to travel occasionally and meet client requirements.
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
Compensation
Salary range: $80K-$150K+, based on experience, plus benefits and bonus opportunities.
