Senior Interior Designer

This firm has been in the industry for over 40 years, with a diverse range in project types including: small scale healthcare, entertainment, hospitality, industrial, retail, K-12, and worship. They are looking for a visionary and detail-oriented Senior Interior Designer to lead high-impact design projects from concept to completion. This role requires a strong design portfolio, leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of materials, furnishings, and spatial planning. You will collaborate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to deliver innovative and functional interior environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design process for interior projects, including concept development, space planning, material selection, and FF&E specifications.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to integrate interior design with architectural elements.
  • Present design concepts and materials to clients and stakeholders with clarity and confidence.
  • Oversee the preparation of detailed drawings, renderings, and documentation for construction and installation.
  • Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a collaborative and creative studio environment.
  • Stay current with industry trends, materials, and technologies to bring fresh ideas to each project.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design or related field.
  • 7+ years of professional experience in interior design, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering tools (e.g., Enscape, V-Ray).
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, ADA regulations, and construction documentation.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills.
  • Ability to lead client meetings and manage expectations effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • NCIDQ Certification or equivalent.
  • Experience in [insert sector, e.g., luxury residential, hospitality, corporate interiors, etc.].
  • LEED Accreditation or experience with sustainable design practices.
