Senior Interior Designer
This firm has been in the industry for over 40 years, with a diverse range in project types including: small scale healthcare, entertainment, hospitality, industrial, retail, K-12, and worship. They are looking for a visionary and detail-oriented Senior Interior Designer to lead high-impact design projects from concept to completion. This role requires a strong design portfolio, leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of materials, furnishings, and spatial planning. You will collaborate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to deliver innovative and functional interior environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design process for interior projects, including concept development, space planning, material selection, and FF&E specifications.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to integrate interior design with architectural elements.
- Present design concepts and materials to clients and stakeholders with clarity and confidence.
- Oversee the preparation of detailed drawings, renderings, and documentation for construction and installation.
- Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a collaborative and creative studio environment.
- Stay current with industry trends, materials, and technologies to bring fresh ideas to each project.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design or related field.
- 7+ years of professional experience in interior design, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering tools (e.g., Enscape, V-Ray).
- Strong knowledge of building codes, ADA regulations, and construction documentation.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills.
- Ability to lead client meetings and manage expectations effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- NCIDQ Certification or equivalent.
