Senior Project Engineer - Generation/Transmission
Overview
We are seeking an experienced engineer to provide senior‑level technical leadership and manage complex capital projects supporting power generation and transmission assets. This role combines hands‑on engineering, project execution, and cross‑functional leadership in a safety‑ and compliance‑driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert engineering services and technical leadership across assigned projects.
- Lead complex capital projects, managing scope, budget, schedule, and risk.
- Develop engineering work plans, reports, estimates, and technical standards.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, vendors, member organizations, and stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide work direction as needed.
- Prepare progress updates and presentations for leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (ABET‑accredited).
- 7+ years of progressive engineering experience.
- Demonstrated success managing civil, mechanical, and/or electrical projects in power generation environments.
- Strong project management, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency with Primavera, CADD tools, and Microsoft Office.

Work Environment
- Primarily office‑based with field/project site visits as required
- Travel and occasional off‑hours work may be required
- Valid driver's license and use of PPE required when applicable
