Key Responsibilities
- Lead project estimating and management for civil andgeotechnical construction projects involving:
- Deep foundations (e.g., drilled shafts, CFA piles, micropiles)
- Retention systems
- Ground improvement
- Dewatering and specialty applications
- Conduct site visits to assess conditions and inform design and pricing.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and geotechnical reports to develop accurate scopes.
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes.
- Prepare detailed take-offs, cost estimates, bid proposals, and project budgets.
- Negotiate contracts in collaboration with legal and executive teams.
- Develop and submit project documentation, including means and methods, design calculations, and equipment plans.
- Oversee field execution, ensuring quality, safety, and cost control.
- Manage project billing, reporting, and closeout documentation.
- Participate in company-wide training and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in civil or geotechnical construction.
- Strong understanding of deep foundation and ground engineering methods.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regionally.
- Project management experience (2+ years preferred).
