Senior Project Manager - Remote (Full-Time)

A leading provider of sustainable water and wastewater infrastructure solutions is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the execution of complex, multi-disciplinary projects. This role is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of wastewater-to-energy systems, including engineering coordination, construction oversight, installation, commissioning, and client engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial or municipal water and wastewater treatment, process engineering, and project delivery.

The Senior Project Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, ensuring that all aspects of the project are executed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This includes managing internal engineering resources, coordinating with external vendors and trades, and overseeing documentation, permitting, and compliance. The role requires a proactive leader who can navigate complex technical environments, resolve issues efficiently, and foster collaboration across disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver wastewater infrastructure projects
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, documentation, and client communications
  • Coordinate permitting, inspections, and final approvals with regulatory authorities
  • Oversee system installations and commissioning activities
  • Allocate engineering resources and mentor junior staff
  • Select and manage subcontractors and vendors
  • Resolve escalated project issues and implement corrective actions
  • Analyze project metrics to identify risks and propose cost-saving solutions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field (advanced degree or PE license preferred)
  • 7+ years of experience managing equipment/system projects valued at $5-10M+
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with aerobic/anaerobic digestion systems and wastewater technologies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project and other project management tools
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment

This is a remote position with occasional travel required. The role offers the opportunity to lead impactful infrastructure projects that support sustainable water and energy solutions across industrial and municipal sectors.
