Senior Structural Engineer - Client Facing
Experience Required
- 8+ years of structural engineering experience in commercial, industrial, or modular markets
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required
Key Skills & Abilities
- Strong background in structural engineering, project management, and client coordination
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to produce high‑quality technical reports, letters, and project documentation
- Proven ability to lead, manage, and work independently with minimal supervision
Primary Responsibilities
- Demonstrate full proficiency in all responsibilities typically expected of a mid‑level structural engineer
- Provide training, mentorship, and technical support to junior engineering staff
- Lead and coordinate the preparation of structural calculations, drawings, specifications, reports, and professional correspondence
- Support project managers with project coordination and overall team management
- Contribute to improving existing calculation templates and developing new tools and processes
- Ensure design quality, adherence to schedules, and compliance with project budgets
- Serve as lead project engineer, overseeing and reviewing work completed by other team engineers
- Assist with the development of fee proposals and contracts
- Participate in project closeout activities, evaluating performance and recommending improvements
- Engage in meetings with clients, project stakeholders, and regulatory authorities
- Support senior leadership in business development and marketing initiatives
- Consistently demonstrate professionalism and commitment to organizational values
Education & Credentials
- Minimum 8 years of industry experience
- P.E. license in civil or structural engineering
- Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
