Senior Transmission Line Engineer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Transmission Line Engineer to lead the design, analysis, and execution of high-voltage transmission line projects (69kV to 500kV). The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a passion for delivering innovative and reliable power infrastructure solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and engineering of overhead and underground transmission lines, including route selection, structure design, and conductor selection.
- Perform structural analysis and loading calculations using PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and related software.
- Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including civil, electrical, and environmental engineers.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (NESC, IEEE, ASCE, etc.) and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and designers.
- Support project management activities including budgeting, scheduling, and client communication.
- Conduct site visits and field assessments as needed.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in transmission engineering.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in transmission line engineering.
- Proficiency in PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, TOWER, and AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of NESC, IEEE, and other applicable standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
