Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee the day-to-day operations of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing complex civil and mechanical construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage field operations for wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and lift stations.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain project schedules and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and project specifications.
  • Conduct daily site inspections and progress meetings.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including daily reports, schedules, and change orders.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to resolve issues and drive project success.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a superintendent in heavy civil or water/wastewater construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and safety practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in construction management software is a plus.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites across North Carolina.
