Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Traffic Engineer to join a dynamic Transportation and Infrastructure team focused on traffic design and analysis. This role offers significant career growth opportunities within a multi-discipline engineering environment and can be based out of multiple office locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design traffic engineering elements including:
- Traffic signals
- Roadway lighting
- Signage and pavement markings
- Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)
- Work zone traffic control
- Conduct traffic analysis andmodeling using tools such as:
- Highway Capacity Software (HCS)
- Synchro
- Sidra
- PTV software (Vissim, Vistro, Visum)
- Perform safety data collection and analysis:
- Crash data review
- Crash rate calculations
- Highway Safety Manual (HSM) analysis
- Prepare traffic impact studies and Transportation Management Plans
- Develop technical documents and reports
- Conduct field work and site visits
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) License
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in traffic engineering design
