Senior Traffic Engineer - Regional Client Engagement
Our regional client is looking to add on to their team! This posiiton will be delivering smart, efficient, and community-focused transportation solutions. It offers leadership opportunities in traffic design, planning, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead traffic studies and transportation planning
- Design signals, signage, markings, and ITS systems
- Write reports and perform engineering calculations
- Oversee plan production and review designs
- Mentor junior staff and support team growth
- Manage budgets, schedules, and deliverables
- Assist with proposals and client presentations
- Support hiring and staffing decisions
- Represent projects in public forums
- Ensure safety and policy compliance
- Engage in professional development
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Civil Engineering
- PE license (or ability to obtain in ND/MN within 6 months)
- PTOE certification preferred
- 5+ years in traffic engineering or planning
- Familiarity with regional agencies/projects
- Skilled in traffic modeling and CAD software
- Strong communication and project management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's license
Work Environment
- Office-based with occasional fieldwork
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and travel as needed
- Overtime may be required during deadlines
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 (based on experience and location)
