Transportation Engineer
Position Overview:
A nationally recognized engineering and infrastructure consulting firm is seeking a Transportation Engineer to join its growing Indianapolis team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of transportation projects, including roadway design, traffic studies, and infrastructure improvements for public and private sector clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform design and analysis for roadway and highway projects.
- Prepare construction documents, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including planners, environmental scientists, and structural engineers.
- Conduct field investigations and site assessments.
- Support project managers in delivering high-quality, on-time deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal transportation standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; PE license preferred.
- 3-7 years of experience in transportation engineering.
- Proficiency in design software such as MicroStation, OpenRoads, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Experience with INDOT projects is a plus.
