Job Title: Traveling Construction Superintendent - Ground-Up Retail Projects

Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Traveling Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage ground-up retail construction projects valued up to $10 million. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail construction, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple subcontractors and vendors while ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all on-site construction activities for ground-up retail projects from mobilization through project closeout.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel to ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Conduct daily site inspections and maintain detailed project logs and reports.
- Communicate regularly with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
- Schedule and lead site meetings, inspections, and punch list walkthroughs.
- Ensure quality control and compliance with all building codes and standards.
- Travel to various project sites across the country as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in ground-up commercial or retail construction.
- Proven track record managing projects up to $10 million in value.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and blueprint reading.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam).
- OSHA 30 certification required.
- Ability to travel extensively and stay on-site for the duration of each project.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with national retail brands and fast-paced rollout programs.
- Background in civil, structural, and MEP coordination.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
