We're currently on the lookout for an experienced Audio-Visual Professional to join our team and lead our AV Consulting and Engineering Practice. This is not your typical AV role. Daily, you'll be tasked with creating inventive solutions for our clients, as our AV projects typically range from $5MM to over $50MM in value. This role demands a unique set of skills and qualities. AV Project Management expertise.
You won't be an average consultant. You'll be continually challenged as you work on systems that impact the daily experiences of tens of thousands of people or are integral to mission-critical facilities.
Responsibilities:
Lead a growing AV discipline, ensuring alignment with the company's overall strategy and standards.
Mentor existing AV staff and help establish a shared knowledge base across the company.
Manage AV resources and project commitments effectively.
Contribute your technical expertise to Audio and Visual System Design and Deployment.
Assist clients through our design teams in developing complete AV systems as part of construction design planning, consulting, and overall project life-cycles.
Participate in various planning and design tasks, including the development of alternate solution architectures, cost-benefit analysis, basic infrastructure requirements, equipment specifications, and cost estimates.
Collaborate internally with team members possessing expertise in different IT and technical disciplines to ensure the production of modern, validated designs for clients.
Provide AV-focused expertise to non-AV colleagues within the company who also work in their own disciplines with clients (e.g., Security System, Mechanical, and Infrastructure-focused employees).
Occasional site surveys, meetings, and commissioning work at client sites.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for reviewing and ensuring the quality of various formal client deliverables, including Technology Master Plans, High-Level Design (HLD) documents, Basis of Design (BoD) documentation, and more.
Ability to communicate concerns to leadership when they arise and use feedback and tools provided to consistently improve the final work products in all projects.
Education and Professional Certifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Certifications: CTS-D is required, and RCDD and PE are a plus.
Manufacturer Certifications in QSC, Crestron, Planar, NanoLumens, Jupiter, Christie, Digital Projections, and/or AtlasIED are advantageous.
Other Job Notes:
This is a full-time remote position that involves occasional travel to remote client sites (approximately 10-25% of the year). Travel expenses are reimbursed after being paid upfront by the employee.
