Responsibilities of Energy Market Analyst:
- Conduct in-depth analysis of transmission markets, including electricity transmission networks, market participants, regulations, and pricing structures.
- Monitor and evaluate transmission market trends, policy changes, and industry developments to identify opportunities and risks.
- Develop and maintain models and methodologies for analyzing transmission market data, including supply and demand, transmission congestion, capacity allocation, and pricing mechanisms.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather relevant data and inputs for market analysis.
Requirements of Energy Market Analyst:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. A Master's or Ph.D. degree is preferred.
- Proficient user of PLEXOS, PROMOD, AURORA, or similar platform.
- Experienced in nodal production cost modeling and congestion analysis.
- Proficient in data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, Python, R, Tableau, or similar software.
- Knowledge of transmission market fundamentals, including electricity markets, power system operations, congestion management, and transmission planning.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
