Our client is a leading renewable energy company that operates globally to develop offshore wind projects. They are currently seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join their team as the APAC Head of Development Services. The successful candidate can choose to be based in Tokyo, Japan or Seoul, Korea.
Key Responsibilities:
By providing tier-one leadership and mentoring, you will be in charge of building a pool of highly qualified and dedicated industry professionals taking on various project development positions across the APAC area as Head of Development Services APAC. As part of your duties, you will also be in charge of making sure that projects in the area have an adequate number of employees and FTE assigned to them.
Your role:
- Maintain a pool of project development roles within the APAC region.
- Hiring and allocating resources to projects in the region while maintaining a suitable workforce in order to balance standardized development roles as needed by project activities.
- Assisting the nation and regional project development leaders in advancing each project to the FID/FC stage, which involves participating in and winning the relevant bids and auctions (while working closely with our organization's broader supporting activities)
- Putting best practices and project development standards into practice and making sure they are used throughout the APAC portfolio
- Assist and collaborate closely with the Development Optimization team to guarantee complete conformity with local requirements.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
The ideal candidate should possess experience managing large-scale engineering projects along with strong leadership skills.
Additional qualifications include but not limited to;
- Bachelor's degree or higher qualification from reputable institutes
- In-depth knowledge of Wind Energy processes and technologies
- Fluent English working proficiency; Japanese or Korean language will be a big PLUS
