Position Overview:
My client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Electrical Engineer/Associate Principal to join their team on the west coast. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MEP engineering, with a focus on electrical systems design and project management. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex projects, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the growth and success of the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the electrical engineering design for a variety of MEP projects, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes and standards.
- Manage and coordinate multi-disciplinary project teams, including mechanical and plumbing engineers.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for project-related matters.
- Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
- Oversee the preparation of construction documents and provide support during the construction phase.
- Mentor and train junior engineers, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Participate in business development activities, including proposal preparation and client presentations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; PE license required.
- 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on MEP systems.
- Proven experience in project management, including leading project teams and managing client relationships.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems design, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low voltage systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
- Proficiency in relevant software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design tools.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
