Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated AV Design Engineer to join our client. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AV system design and engineering, with a passion for leveraging the latest technologies to create immersive and impactful audiovisual experiences. This role involves collaborating with clients and internal teams to design, develop, and implement advanced AV systems that meet specific project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and engineer comprehensive AV systems, including sound, video, control, and networking technologies, tailored to client needs and project specifications.
- Create detailed technical drawings, schematics, and documentation using CAD software and other industry-standard tools.
- Conduct site surveys and collaborate with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure AV designs are seamlessly integrated into physical spaces.
- Stay abreast of emerging AV technologies and trends, applying innovative solutions to design challenges.
- Work closely with project managers and installation teams to ensure designs are implemented accurately and efficiently, adhering to budget and timeline constraints.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance during and post-installation.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations, effectively communicating technical concepts and design solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring high-quality outcomes and client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Audio Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in AV design and engineering, with a proven track record of successful projects.
- Proficiency in CAD software and AV design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, D-Tools).
- Strong understanding of AV standards, protocols, and best practices.
- Knowledge of networking principles and IP-based AV systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- CTS, CTS-D, or other relevant AV industry certifications preferred.
