Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and technically adept AV Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team. The AV Sales Engineer will play a critical role in driving the growth of our Audio-Visual solutions and services. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, customer engagement skills, and a deep understanding of AV technologies. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand client requirements and propose tailored AV solutions that align with their needs.
- Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations to showcase our AV products and services to clients, highlighting their features, benefits, and applications.
- Assess client environments to identify AV system design considerations, integration possibilities, and potential challenges.
- Prepare detailed AV system proposals, including equipment lists, diagrams, technical specifications, and pricing.
- Engage with clients in a consultative manner to gather insights into their AV needs and provide recommendations based on industry best practices.
- Work closely with project managers and installation teams to ensure seamless implementation of AV solutions, addressing any technical queries that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with vendors and manufacturers to stay up-to-date with the latest AV technologies and industry trends.
- Assist in training and supporting sales team members in understanding and effectively presenting AV solutions to clients.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network with potential clients and showcase our AV offerings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in AV sales, engineering, or a related role within the AV industry.
- In-depth knowledge of audio-visual technologies, including but not limited to video conferencing systems, digital signage, projection systems, audio systems, and control systems.
- Strong technical acumen with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical clients effectively.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to create technical proposals, system diagrams, and documentation.
- Proficiency in AV design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Crestron Toolbox) is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, site visits, and industry events as required.
- Professional certifications in AV (e.g., CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I) are desirable.
