RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and manage industrial network infrastructure with networked PLCs and distributed control systems, including cloud-based network infrastructure and services
- Design, develop and manage secure network solutions connecting edge PLC devices in field and industrial networks (Modbus, ProfNet, Ethernet, cloud services, etc.)
- Create and manage VPNs and secure tunnels for secure and encrypted communications between remote sites and the central infrastructure
- Implementation of state-of-the-art security measures and periodic security assessments
MUST REQUIREMENTS:
- Network engineering experience in field networks such as PROFIBUS and Modbus and industrial networks such as EtherNet/IP, Profinet, Modbus TCP/IP
- Expertise in configuring and managing remote connectivity and secure cloud integration.
- Proficient in networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and services
- Fluent English and Japanese communication
GOOD TO HAVE SKILLS:
- Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud service management
- Proven track record of IT infrastructure design and management with an emphasis on security
- Experience with network security tools and practices (firewalls, VPNs)
- Experience utilizing infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation
- Related certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Cisco Certified Network Professional - CCNP)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Intelligent Systems or related field
