A regional, multi-discipline civil consultant is seeking a highly qualified CDOT Survey Manager for their Denver, Colorado offices. This role involves managing and overseeing CDOT projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage client projects, ensuring timely and successful completion within budget.
- Serve as the primary liaison between design engineers, CDOT, and the internal survey team.
- Collaborate with CDOT personnel to understand project requirements, objectives, and specifications.
- Lead and coordinate a team of office and field technicians, providing guidance and support.
- Develop efficient and accurate survey strategies using advanced survey concepts and philosophies.
- Utilize various software programs for survey data processing, analysis, and visualization.
- Ensure compliance with CDOT processes, procedures, and specifications throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide expertise in CDOT right-of-way (ROW) plans and coordinate with CDOT personnel.
- Demonstrate proficiency in OpenRoads Designer with the CDOT workspace, MicroStation/InRoads with the CDOT workspace, and Trimble Business Center software.
- Apply knowledge of the CDOT TMOSS coding system.
- Utilize GIS experience to enhance survey data integration and analysis (preferred).
- Exhibit exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in survey project management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in survey project management, preferably with CDOT projects.
- Experience and familiarity with CDOT processes & OpenRoads Designer are a must
- In-depth knowledge of CDOT processes and procedures related to surveying.
- Extensive experience with survey control networks, boundary surveys, ROW surveys, ALTA surveys, and topographic and engineering design surveys.
- Proficiency in Trimble Business Center software for data processing and analysis.
- Familiarity with the CDOT TMOSS coding system.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills to effectively manage office and field technicians.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, CDOT personnel, and internal team members.
- Preferred, but not required: Professional Land Surveyor License.
