Control Systems Engineer Position - REMOTE
The Control Systems Engineer will develop control system architectures, program Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), configure servers, and set up industrial networks for automated systems. This role includes both remote/office programming and on-site startup commissioning in industrial environments.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and troubleshoot PLC programs (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell & Siemens)
- Develop and troubleshoot HMI programs (FactoryTalk View SE/ME, RsView32, Wonderware & Ignition)
- Write, understand, and troubleshoot complex ladder logic programming
- Program and troubleshoot (RSLinx, ControlNet, DeviceNet, ASi, Profibus, Profinet, ControlLogix 5000/Studio 5000, PLC (2,3,5), SLC 500, AC/DC Drives, SQL/Access databases, Python/VB/VB.NET)
- Specify, configure, and implement industrial networks and servers
- Develop functional descriptions and system documentation
- Perform Factory Acceptance Tests
- On-site startup commissioning
Experience Preferences
- Experience in the sanitary food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries preferred
- Knowledge of the OSI network model, Ethernet, and TCP/IP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)
