Our Client, a leading player in the Offshor Wind sector, is seeking a CPPA Business Manager to lead the identification and engagement of customers for procuring energy generated by its expansive portfolio of utility-scale assets. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in all project phases, from navigating regulatory landscapes and initial customer interactions to finalizing long-term CPPAs and other transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the development of CPPA business by identifying optimal buyers for my client's utility assets across various technology platforms.
- Collaborate closely with the development team to assess project feasibility within regulatory frameworks and off-take requirements.
- Cultivate relationships with potential customers, exploring renewable energy opportunities aligned with their industrial developments.
- Regularly engage with my client's existing and prospective partners to discern market trends and industry shifts related to carbon emission reduction.
- Stay abreast of renewable energy policies and power market regulations in provinces where my client operates, or has projects in the pipeline.
- Formulate a strategic approach to customer acquisition, conducting market studies, preliminary due diligence, and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to craft preliminary business proposals.
- Facilitate seamless communication and collaboration between different departments throughout project lifecycles.
- Lead contract negotiations to optimize my client's interests and value propositions in each deal.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Management, Economics, Science, Engineering, or a relevant field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in renewable energy, knowledge of Offshore Wind is an advantage
- Demonstrated market insight and correlation analysis abilities, coupled with a strong grasp of the new energy sector and keen information capture skills.
- Prior experience in the offshore wind sector or consulting firm preferred.
- Collaborative nature and adeptness in working within diverse teams.
