My client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to lead our business development efforts as Director of Business Development. This company is a globally recognized brand in the utilities sector, specializing in dc power supply solutions with expertise across chemical, mineral, metals, and hydrogen sectors.
Responsibilities:
Business Growth Strategy
- Develop comprehensive account-specific strategies that align with short-term and long-term goals.
- Evaluate existing partnerships/sales plans; build on what works while changing what doesn't.
- Identify new services & recommend strategic partnerships based on research into emerging markets/trends.
Relationship Building/Management
- Build relationships through NDA process/bid phase hand-offs to sales team/
- Filter/prioritize prospective customers/business travel efficiently
-Lead prospect/client relationship management teams by attending monthly high-level Sales/BD meetings
Sales Support
-Influence RFQs via custom solution provision up until early budget stage work w/Mgr., then attend industry events (trade shows/seminars etc.)to offer technical input at RFP level when necessary.
Requirements:
Education - Experience
-Bachelor's degree or BS Engineering plus MBA preferred.
-Minimum 5 years' experience within industrial marketing/sales (+3 yrs supervisory exp) required.
-Senior business development /technical sales manager minimum 5+years experience preferably from Rectifier Industry/electronics product line backgrounds would be valuable
Skills Required:
-Familiarity Salesforce CRM platform essential/research skills vital
