Title: Director of Business Development
Introduction:
My client is a well-established and rapidly growing solar energy solutions company that provides innovative renewable energy services to commercial customers. They are looking to bring on a Director of Business Development to play a pivotal role in advancing their customer partnerships, as well as fostering growth and profitability in the markets of the Midwest Region. This position necessitates a blend of sales and marketing proficiency, effective written and verbal communication, business development initiatives, negotiation acumen, and the ability to analyze customer needs and preferences.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Strategy
- Formulate impactful business development strategies to meet or surpass sales targets.
- Enhance knowledge of new product offerings through active participation in company-provided training sessions.
- Stay current on industry trends, including installation methods and relevant certifications, through continuous education.
Sales Support
- Showcase Standard Solar at trade fairs, emphasizing the advantages of solar power across diverse industries such as agriculture.
- Network effectively at events, offering potential clients insights into the benefits of our green technology solutions.
- Employ cold calling techniques to daily identify new opportunities, generating leads and fostering significant account growth.
Relationship Management
- Cultivate trust-based relationships with high-value prospects.
- Clearly communicate contract terms and conditions, ensuring alignment with project expectations from initiation to successful completion.
Collaboration & Communication
- Collaborate across departments to achieve corporate goals strategically.
- Work collectively to deliver value-added outcomes, enhancing both internal and external relationships to strengthen customer ties.
Qualifications Required:
- A Bachelor's degree focusing primarily upon renewables/energy fields preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Sales and Business Development roles.
- Must have previous experience working in Sales/Business Origination roles preferably within Renewables sector i.e. SOLAR POWER ETC...
- Ability demonstrate excellent communication skills both written/spoken
- Strong negotiating ability coupled being results-driven person go-getter mentality crucial here
- Excellent problem-solving capability having exceptional analytical thinking abilities necessary also desirable attributes include attention detail highly organized work ethics priority management skillset among others
