Seeking a Director of Mechanical Engineering responsible for:
- Increasing productivity of the department
- Establishing design standards and protocols with the goal of producing a consistent product
- Developing and maintaining Standardized details
- Establishing format for design calculations (Heating/Cooling loads, Plumbing Water/Gas/Sanitary/Storm Lines, Energy Analysis
- Establishing format of design-specific major project equipment
- Selecting the software specific to mechanical department needs
- Recruiting of Staff
- Training and Development of Staff
Qualifications:
- BSME/MET/BSAE (or other engineering discipline with applicable experience).
- Current PE registration is required.
- LEED AP certification is preferred.
- Commissioning certification is a plus.
- 10+ years' experience designing HVAC building systems in technically sophisticated facilities.
- Have experience writing fee proposals.
- Have project management experience running projects.
- Have experience invoicing clients on specific projects.
