Title: Director of Origination
Summary: My client is leading the way in the renewable energy sector across North America and Globally. With a diverse profile spanning across all technologies including wind, solar, battery storage, and green hydrogen they are paving the way for a brighter future. They are looking for someone to join and lead their distributed generation team as the Head of Origination. This person will oversee a team of individuals focused on closing new power purchase agreements across the United States. This person will lead the efforts to grow out the new project pipeline and seek PPA Opportunities. This individual should be comfortable speaking with executives and project stakeholders as well as being a strong contract negotiator. - Lead PPA sourcing, Structuring, and negotiating with the goal of closing new transactions across North America.
- Managing the dedicated team of originators as well as the commodity sales and trading teams.
- Work closely with project stakeholders and executives being comfortable creating market strategies and presenting.
- Provide support on commercial efforts including tax equity, cash equity, and M&A transactions.
- Oversee the RFP response and internal reporting requirements.
The Director of Origination should have experience withโฆ.
- Bachelor's degree in economics, environmental science, or related fields a graduate degree is a plus but not required.
- 10+ Years of experience in business development or origination in the energy space as well as experience managing a team.
- The ability to speak clearly and to negotiate and close contracts.
- Eager to work in an exciting fast-paced role.
