Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of electrical systems for a wide range of healthcare and commercial projects. You will collaborate with architects, other engineers, and clients to create systems that are efficient, reliable, and sustainable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical systems for healthcare and commercial buildings, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems, and low-voltage communication systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and healthcare facility guidelines, including NFPA 99 and NEC.
- Prepare electrical drawings, specifications, and reports for construction projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate MEP designs and coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and contractors.
- Perform electrical load calculations and evaluate energy-efficient solutions for healthcare and commercial facilities.
- Conduct site visits to evaluate existing conditions and provide guidance during installation and construction.
- Review submittals, respond to RFIs, and provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and healthcare facility requirements to implement best practices in all designs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or in progress.
- 4-8 years of experience in electrical design, preferably focused on healthcare and commercial projects.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA 99, and energy codes relevant to healthcare facilities.
- Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical calculation tools.
- Familiarity with energy-efficient and sustainable design practices, including LEED.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
