The role of the Maintenance & Engineering Manager involves overseeing and coordinating various facets of the department, including Mechanical Maintenance, Instrument/Electrical, Warehouse & Procurement, Reliability, Design & Drafting, and Project Engineering. Responsibilities of the Maintenance & Engineering Manager include upholding high moral and ethical standards, providing leadership and mentorship to department employees, ensuring safe work habits, maintaining a well-organized workspace, fostering good relationships with colleagues and associates, identifying and addressing safety/quality/environmental issues, supporting budget development, and actively involving employees in policy and procedure improvement.
The Manager is also responsible for evaluating staffing requirements, coordinating contract services, improving departmental efficiency, leading project-related activities, conducting regular department meetings, balancing resources for construction activities, preparing project estimates, monitoring project progress, documenting project phases, participating in change management procedures, and contributing to miscellaneous projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- B.S. degree preferably in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance/engineering environment.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a maintenance/engineering environment without a B.S. degree.
- Experience in a chemical processing or refining environment preferred.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills (both oral and written).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, SAP, and various other software platforms.
- Exemplify high levels of moral and ethical standards and values.
