Our client is an environmental consultancy committed to delivering a high standard of work and advice to their clients. Their focus includes end to end contaminated land management, asbestos, hazardous material surveys, drilling services and occupational hygiene work.
Responsibilities will include:
- Contaminated land investigations, including PSI, DSI, preparation of RA and RAP, validation reports and site monitoring
- Waste classification, resource recovery exemptions and circular economy
- Carrying out inspections and surveys for asbestos, hazardous materials and occupational hygiene sampling
- Conducting air monitoring and clearance inspections, providing clearance certificates
- Lead and manage the delivery of projects throughout the project life cycle, taking accountability for overall time, cost, and quality of delivery
- Leading and coaching others during project delivery, in the pursuit of projects and also during proposal formation
- Build and maintain trusting relationships with key clients through understanding client drivers, the provision of sound advice and striving to meet or exceed client expectations
- Identify problems and recommend corrections
- Monitoring environmental remediation projects and maintenance of environmental remediation systems
- Preparation and review of technical reports and proposal
Skill sets will include:
- Ability to interpret environmental laws and permit requirements, stay abreast of the changing regulatory landscape and analyze the various options for complying with new regulations and permit requirements
- Ability to clearly communicate project objectives and expected outcomes to team members, sub-consultants and a wider audience
- Comply, manage, and drive health and safety requirements for projects

- Ensuring that the quality of deliverables is to the consistently high standards demanded by the Project
Key Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in the field of science, environmental engineering or equivalent
- 15+ years relevant experience in contaminated site assessment and related fields.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering contaminated land projects
- Demonstrated staff management experience
- Experience in the regulatory framework and associated guidelines for contaminated land assessment and management in NSW and Australia
- Full C Class Driver's licence
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- ESdat, R, and/or QGIS familiarity would be a bonus
- Ability to work in a team or independently
- Motivated with a good work ethic
