Position Overview:
My client is looking for a skilled Estimator to play a crucial role in their project development and execution. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing project specifications and blueprints, conducting site visits, and collaborating with various stakeholders to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates. The Estimator will contribute to the success of their projects by ensuring that budgets align with project requirements and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to understand project scope and requirements.
- Conduct on-site visits to gather relevant information and assess project conditions.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain accurate and up-to-date information for cost estimation.
- Prepare detailed and competitive cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.
- Utilize estimating software and tools to ensure accuracy and efficiency in the estimation process.
- Present and explain cost estimates to internal teams, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in bid meetings, negotiations, and discussions with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, material costs, and construction methods to enhance the accuracy of estimates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Proficient in using construction estimating software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in estimating.
- Knowledge of local construction codes and regulations.
