Job Title: Financial Analyst
Location: San Diego
Overview:
A leading IPP is currently seeking a Financial Analyst to join their dynamic and collaborative team. This organization focuses on large scale power generation through wind, solar, and storage initiatives. In addition to maximizing assets, the company also offers on-site energy solutions. This position plays a vital role in conducting segment reporting and financial analysis and functions in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Validate accounting information and analyze actual results against budget and forecast.
- Focus on P&L analysis, balance sheet indicators, and support forecasting and budgeting processes.
- Prepare detailed P&L and Balance Sheet, including BOFC packages, appendices, and analytic reviews.
- Generate additional analytical schedules and operational KPIs as required
- Facilitate business review meetings and distribute results to management.
- Complete labor allocation reports, analyze labor rates, and review labor over/under absorption.
- Respond to audit inquiries and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Education/Experience:
- 3-5 years of finance experience, preferably in reporting and financial analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; Renewable Energy industry knowledge is preferred.
Skills:
- Familiarity with GAAP vs. IFRS reporting and consolidation principles.
- Advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to prioritize and work accurately under time constraints.
- Strong quantitative and analytic skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced experience with reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and others.
