My Client is in search of a seasoned professional from the water industry to spearhead our Central Florida Water Services Team. We're looking for someone with a knack for entrepreneurship and a drive to contribute to the companies expansion in the Southeast. This individual will be tasked with hands-on management of thrilling water and wastewater projects from inception to completion. Joining our established engineering consulting firm, which is experiencing rapid growth in the Southeast market, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and overseeing diverse water and wastewater projects, nurturing client relationships, engaging in industry events, and fostering a culture of learning and mentorship within our expanding team.
Key responsibilities will encompass a wide array of projects, including water and wastewater treatment plants, distribution systems, and collection systems, along with regional water supply planning.
Our ideal candidate will be passionate about cultivating a robust water business in Central Florida, boasting strong existing client connections and a strategic vision for expanding that network. Experience-wise, they should bring a proven track record and a portfolio of established clientele in the region. Responsibilities will evolve but will generally entail leading business development efforts, crafting business and financial strategies tailored to the Central Florida market, collaborating with our proposal team to secure revenue-generating projects, overseeing the recruitment of a proficient team of Project Managers, and ensuring project delivery aligns with our risk management and profitability goals.
Furthermore, the candidate should possess the technical prowess to serve as a project leader and provide expert guidance on water and wastewater projects.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability and enthusiasm for not only cultivating new and existing clients but also for building a Water Business Line practice, with plans to expand resources for opening and managing a new office.
- Bachelor's degree in civil, biological, or environmental engineering from an ABET accredited program.
- Eight or more years of similar technical experience in the water sector, with at least three years in project/team leadership roles.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Florida.
- Previous experience overseeing designs for water and wastewater projects, including detailed plans and specifications.
- Sound understanding of multidisciplinary practices required for water and wastewater infrastructure enhancements.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook.
