I am currently seeking a technically diversified Geotechnical Branch Manager to bolster our Geotechnical Engineering Group based in Washington DC. Your role will involve fostering client and business relationships, overseeing staff management, and offering expertise in civil and geotechnical engineering across various multi-discipline design and construction projects.

Responsibilities:
- Building connections with Energy, Institutional, Industrial, and Manufacturing clients, as well as internal colleagues within the company's business sectors.
- Taking the lead on business development efforts, including crafting project proposals and managing budgets and schedules.
- Understanding and promoting the range of services provided by the organisation.
- Collaborating on the creation and implementation of a business plan.
- Acting as the main point of contact for business activities in the Power Generation Business Sector and Geotechnical Group across the Mid-Atlantic region.
- Managing projects and tasks, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meeting quality and safety standards. This includes overseeing multiple projects simultaneously and keeping a close eye on project costs and billings in coordination with the Accounting team.
- Providing oversight and direction for geotechnical aspects of various design and construction projects.
- Offering guidance and support to members of the geotechnical group.
- Leading teams to successfully complete assigned projects.
- Working with the Accounting team to track and manage project costs and billings to meet profit targets.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering (M.S. degree preferred)
- Professional Engineering license or eligibility to obtain within 6 months
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Strong organisational skills and commitment to quality work
