Position Overview: As the Head of Commercial and Tender for an offshore wind cable manufacturer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing the commercial aspects of the business, with a focus on tendering for offshore wind projects. This senior leadership position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in managing multiple project life cycles within the offshore wind industry. The successful candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of the commercial risks associated with offshore wind projects and possess exceptional negotiation and strategic planning skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- โTeam buildup: develop and grow C&T team from current 10+ pax to 30+ pax over the next 24 months; set up and establish organization, processes and governance structure;
- Business development: develop client relations, evaluate business opportunities and grow pipeline;
- Tender execution: lead team to plan, organize and submit competitive tenders; โ
- Project execution: oversee project execution for awarded tenders;
- Risk assessment: lead risk reviews and internal approval processes;โ
l Background:
- Senior professional with 10+ years of relevant experience (at least 5 years in industry of offshore wind, preferably cables)โ
- Strong leadership skill, ability to manage and structure complex tasks diligently, while managing uncertainties;โ
- Experience in delivering a large volume of tenders/ large frame agreements with high degree of non-standard terms and conditions, extensive non-standard documentation;โ
- Experience in complex delivery models with multiple team involvement across various verticals and locations;
- Ability to interact with multi-cultural stakeholders across management levels, both internal and externalโ;
- Proven track record of building up and scaling teams;
- Excellent understanding of legal, commercial, risk management and financial aspects of offshore wind industry;
- Demonstration of strong business ethics and integrity
