Responsibilities
- Perform HMI programming tasks
- Execute projects according to project drawings, specifications, and PLC logic
- Maintain and update graphic libraries, test and document changes, and write operator instructions
- Review objectives and assignment details with senior staff to ensure clarity
- Use sound judgment in following authorized procedures and seek help when guidelines are insufficient, significant deviations are needed, or unexpected issues arise
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in SCADA system programming
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in developing HMI programs for various SCADA/Telemetry projects
- Proficiency in one or more of the following programming software packages:
- Aveva System Platform/Citect SCADA
- Rockwell FactoryTalk View
- GE iFix
- Trihedral VTScada
- Familiarity with industrial communication networks
- Experience with object-based control system design methods
- Ability to troubleshoot onsite with minimal support
- Willingness to travel up to 40% as needed
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project teams
- Highly motivated, articulate, and self-driven
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the water and wastewater industry
- Knowledge of industrial control networks and panel design
- Ability to learn new HMI programming software independently
- Enthusiasm for collaborating with other disciplines to develop innovative concepts
- Application of engineering principles including critical thinking, analysis, and statistical techniques
