We have a current opportunity for a Senior Project Manager/Engineer on a permanent basis. The office is based in Orlando but can be worked fully remote. For further information about this position please apply.
In this role, you will part of a team that works on a variety of residential, commercial projects, both private and public. You will have design and permitting responsibilities for the team's various projects and collaborate directly with other team members.
They are a national, multi-disciplinary firm with a various Florida offices, looking for a hands-on engineer; with the occasional mentoring and delegating to younger engineers. There is scope to grow into an Engineering Director level role and really head up the Land Development division in Orlando.
Essential Duties:
Review client proposals, plan project procedures, staffing, and resources.
Develop project proposals, work plan, budget, and schedule.
Act as primary contact between firm and client, with senior staff support.
Monitor project status, adherence to standards, and prepare reports.
Provide mentorship to project managers.
Update in-house processes and stay updated on relevant technology.
Perform other assigned duties.
General Requirements:
Detail-oriented, versatile, and enthusiastic.
Handle multiple projects, work independently.
Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Document Control Management Software.
Track labor costs and project budgets.
Required Skills:
Florida licensed Land Development PE with a thorough understanding of discipline-specific principles and practices.
Serve as a subject matter expert in report writing, site plan design, drainage, grading, and due diligence/site analysis reports.
Both technical expertise and management experience
Proficient in AutoCAD civil 3D and/or ICPR (at least one), some experience grading and modelling.
Experience in site grading & infrastructure design beneficial
Focus on Land development projects - residential, commercial, private and public.
Familiarity with construction materials, methods, and safety regulations.
Experience working on various project types and scales.
Ability to perform design calculations and present information effectively.
Education & Experience:
Preferred: Bachelors' Degree or equivalent education.
Minimum 6 years' experience in relevant projects.
