As an LNG Technical Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the sales of LNG storage EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) capabilities for a company. This position focuses on engaging with relevant clients, understanding their needs, and navigating long sales cycles of 2-3 years. You will leverage your technical expertise in LNG projects to promote EPC services, establish strong client relationships, and contribute to the growth and success of the company in the LNG sector.
Responsibilities:
Business Development:
Identify and pursue business opportunities in the LNG sector, with a specific focus on LNG storage EPC projects.
Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, targeting clients with potential projects aligning with capabilities.
Client Engagement:
Establish and nurture relationships with key clients, understanding their business objectives and LNG project requirements.
Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing technical insights and solutions tailored to their specific needs.
Sales Strategy:
Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets for LNG storage EPC projects.
Collaborate with internal teams to align technical capabilities with market demands and client expectations.
Proposal Development:
Lead the preparation of detailed proposals, ensuring alignment with client specifications and industry standards.
Work closely with technical teams to create comprehensive and competitive proposals.
Market Analysis:
Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry regulations related to LNG projects.
Provide regular market intelligence and insights to guide business development strategies.
Contract Negotiation:
Collaborate with legal and contract management teams to negotiate terms and conditions of contracts, ensuring favorable outcomes for the company.
Project Handover:
Facilitate a smooth handover of secured projects to the project execution teams, ensuring a clear understanding of client expectations and project requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
Proven experience in technical business development roles within the LNG industry, with a focus on LNG storage EPC projects.
Strong understanding of LNG project life cycles and the associated engineering and construction processes.
Demonstrated success in managing long sales cycles and closing complex deals.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Willingness to travel as required to engage with clients and attend industry events.
