Job Title: Associate Geologist/Environmental Engineer
Salary: $100,000 - $135,000

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Geologist/Environmental Engineer to join our Client's team in Long Beach, California. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in consultancy, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the field. This role will primarily involve managing remediation projects from cradle to grave.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage remediation projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to budget, timeline, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct site assessments, investigations, and feasibility studies to develop effective remediation strategies.
- Prepare technical reports including Phase 1 and 2 reports, RI/FS reports, Remedial Action Plans, etc.
- Interact with clients and regulatory agencies to address concerns, provide updates, and obtain necessary approvals.
- Lead project teams, providing guidance and support to junior staff members.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop innovative solutions and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, or related field; Master's degree counts as an additional year of experience.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in environmental consulting, with a focus on remediation projects.
- Strong project management skills, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in increasing responsibility in project management.
- Ability to obtain California PE or PG certification within 12 months of starting employment.
- Proficiency in technical writing, with experience preparing Phase 1 and 2 reports, RI/FS reports, Remedial Action Plans, etc.
- Experience in proposal writing and client-facing interactions is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, regulators, and internal teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Must be located in or willing to relocate to Long Beach, California for an in-person role.
