LVI are currently seeking a highly qualified Construction Disputes Expert for our client, a highly specialized boutique construction consulting group. They are looking for a spearhead for their New York operation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience providing expert testimony and consulting services in a variety of construction-related matters, including defects, delays, cost overruns, and contract disputes. This individual will play a critical role in supporting our clients throughout the dispute resolution process, providing credible and persuasive expert opinions backed by thorough analysis and industry expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage our team of experts in construction claims and disputes resolution, damages analysis, and forensic scheduling.
- Provide expert testimony and support in arbitration, mediation, and litigation proceedings, drawing upon your extensive experience.
- Drive revenue generation through the identification of new business opportunities, client acquisition, and expansion of services.
- Collaborate with clients, legal teams, and industry stakeholders to effectively resolve construction disputes and claims.
- Conduct detailed damages analysis, forensic scheduling, CPM schedule analysis, and loss of productivity assessments to support claims resolution.
- Offer strategic guidance and capital project advisory services to clients, leveraging your expertise in construction project management and industry best practices.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies to ensure the delivery of innovative and cutting-edge solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., PE, PMP, PSP) preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction claims and disputes resolution, with an extensive background in expert testimony.
- Proven track record of revenue generation and achieving business targets.
- Extensive experience in damages analysis, forensic scheduling, CPM schedule analysis, and loss of productivity assessment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop team members.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Deep understanding of construction contracts, regulations, and industry standards.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
- Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, hearings, and site visits.
