Job Overview:
A leading Top 10 ENR firm is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our dynamic team in Minneapolis, MN. We are looking for a skilled professional with 6-10 years of experience in the design, analysis, and management of water and wastewater systems. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to the development of sustainable water infrastructure solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the design and implementation of water and wastewater treatment plants, collection systems, and distribution systems.
- Oversee and perform detailed engineering calculations, hydraulic modeling, and design reviews.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget.
- Develop technical reports, specifications, drawings, and contract documents.
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and assessments to ensure project compliance with regulatory standards and engineering best practices.
- Support business development efforts by preparing proposals, cost estimates, and presentations to clients.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance throughout project lifecycles.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
- 6-10 years of relevant experience in water and wastewater engineering, including planning, design, and construction.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Minnesota (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
- Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and hydraulic modeling tools (e.g., WaterCAD, SewerGEMS, InfoWater).
- Strong understanding of state and federal regulations governing water and wastewater systems.
- Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills.
- Experience working with municipal, industrial, and/or private sector clients is preferred.
