Due to growth and expansion plans they're currently seeking experienced Millwright Superintendents for large projects they have across the Midwest US.
Job Description:
As a Millwright Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in managing and supervising the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery and equipment. You will be responsible for managing a team of skilled millwrights, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of millwrights, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient and effective project execution.
- Plan, coordinate, and schedule millwright activities, including equipment installation, maintenance, and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety and accountability.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to develop project plans, budgets, and timelines.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to ensure timely and successful project completion.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to ensure workmanship meets industry standards and client expectations.
- Maintain accurate records of work orders, maintenance logs, and inventory.
- Manage procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring availability and cost-effectiveness.
- Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support for complex mechanical issues.
- Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 experience as a Millwright Superintendent, Foreman or similar role in an industrial or mechanical setting.
- Journeyman Millwright certification or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, equipment, and mechanical systems
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Solid understanding of safety regulations and best practices in the millwright trade.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and manuals.
- Ability to work in a busy environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in using project management software and tools
